Digital Toolkit

We encourage our community of advocates and health workers to help us get the word out about the 49th Union World Conference on Lung Health. This toolkit is designed to guide communications efforts and promotion for all those willing to support us.

Background

  • The 49th Union World Conference on Lung Health will take place in The Hague, Netherlands, from 24-27 October 2018.
  • The conference brings together over 3,000 researchers, global advocates, scientists, healthcare professionals, students and community members working on all aspects of lung health.
  • The conference theme, Declaring Our Rights: Social and Political Solutions, highlights that to eliminate tuberculosis (TB) and achieve the health-related Sustainable Development Goals requires a coordinated public health response driven by the human rights of each individual.
  • As the city of peace and justice, The Hague provides a unique environment to link science, human rights and policy in the design of public health responses.
  • The Union World Conference will provide a platform for the latest science and for policy discussions that inform public health measures grounded in human rights.
